Good job! You will do well in the open, and you have good leg development. That alone puts you ahead as far as the open class. Just keep growing! Your back thickness and width should be a priority before your next show. The back will separate the men from the boys. Great arm/delt tie ins, Bro... Awesome... NOW JUST GROW!!!

Good job!!! Your triceps were really good and your conditioning was really good and your seperation pretty d**n decent for a local show! for an info for everyone here...what did you learn the most from your prep and what would you have done differently?? What would you not do...this will help anyone going into their first shows. Your hard work shows and you should be really happy, eh? Next stop...open class, one class heavier!!!! RIGHT ON!!!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments.
Honestly Rusty I wouldn't have done anything differently, I couldn't have asked to come in any better condition wise then i did. it was my first NPC show and everything went as planned. the biggest problem I had was sleep the 4 days leading up to the show. I didn't sleep more than 45 min to an hour at a time. My mind would not quit working. That was the biggest problem (well that and worrying I wasn't going to big enough and look like an idiot up there) but that turned out to be ok. As far as the diet, everything went as planned, the last two weeks i cut all fats and of course the carbs had been gone for 8 anyway. those final 13 days was nothing but egg whites and talipia and it really tightened me up so that worked. I guess I learned more than anything that condition will be size almost every single time. I also learned that I can make it through anything, and it gave me the confidence to do this again. I now know i can do anything after making it through this one. Now i just have to turn my training up a notch, and EAT EAT EAT and EAT some more!!!!! I figure it will take me 2 years to fill out my 5'11 frame enough to have a chance in an open class show. thanks again for the nice comments and I will be posting a lot more now that my mind is actually fuctioning again.

Congrats again, but don't wait 2 years...1 year, you'll be more focused with something closer, you still have 9 months to get big, that should be plenty of time. Get big not FAT!!! Take a hint from me, cardio is NOT only for pre-contest. You don't have to do as much, but keep up on it.

Thanks rusty, i plan on doing 20 min of cardio 3 times a week starting the first week of june. I am going to keep my carbs a lot lower this offseason and up the protein and healthy fats a lot. I will have to take 2 years off, being 5'11 I need to be on stage at or around 205 which is 20 pounds of solid stage muscle. Plus my wife and I are going to try and have a kid so I don't want to diet til the kid is at least 6 months old and a little easier to deal with. believe me I have thought this through. Thanks for the input though. What do you usually try to keep your carbs at on a daily basis in the offseason?
