Bodybuilding.com has some free videos of Bob Cicherillio teaching the basics of posing techniques. You can click here for the free videos. In the videos, Bob reminds competitors to show the strengths and hide the weaknesses and remember to suck the abs and relax it only in the rear poses. There are also links to some related articles. Hmmm..... How these are discussed in Rusty's lastest "Pose Like a Pro" DVD? Rusty, Could you say a few words about your DVD? and what topics are exclusively covered in it?

Well, it's extremely detailed. I go into how to do all of the mandatory poses, how to quarter turns correctly, yes, there are ways to do everything ...WELL!!! where everything should be hands, feet, arms, how to breathe during posing, how to execute, how to stand, how to move gracefully. Also classic posing, how to use your arms and hands, how to do lunging poses correctly, how to execute pivots and transitions between posese. This DVD is extremely detailed. There is also two areas of me coaching two of my students, Kyle who is shown 16 weeks out and 8 weeks out from the USA, Jon, who just dropped out of the USA on Classic type of posing, and lots of me posing/talking. There are no other posing videos out there that I would recommend. They have no MEAT!!! I haven't seen Bobs, but I do see two mistakes in the above photos already.

Okay Alvin, I watched a few different parts to his video...considering he's one of the worst posers out there, I wasn't surprised to find an extremely bad posing tutorial. He was wayy of base on several occasions and his feet/hands were in incorrect positions and if you watch my DVD, you can go back and watch this and laugh silly. I know I did. Bob's a nice guy, but it's like having Wolfgang Puck teach us how to paint a car.

Got the DVD and I think it is very well prepared. It is information packed and having never done this before it gets to be a little mind boggleing. The replay feature on my DVD does not work that well comp[licating mattes. After seeing all the work necessary to prepare for a contest, lest of all the training; the task seems daunting. Thanks Rusty for the good posing video because this is tougher than I thought it would be.

It is hard at first, but if you practice long before the show, it will become second nature..you can tell when a competitor only prepares just before the show, kind of like learning to drive the week before the driving test..like no one will know the difference....if you need any help or have any questions, just ask and I'll help you out.
