What happened to the gyms with autographed 8x10s on the wall? The gyms with real T-bar rows and an owner who actually competed. The gyms where chalk is allowed and where the songs on the radio actually get you pumped? The gyms where people are living the bodybuilding lifestyle? Are they out there?
If I see one more trainer at my gym making his client balance on a ball while pulling on a rubberband, I am going to lose my mind! Doesn't anyone want to get huge anymore?
discuss.

Come to my cousin's Gym... Chalk is there waiting in elevated bowls for the fearless! There are dudes there that bench well over 500lbs, and squat over 800lbs! When I'm there I command the music with my IPOD!

so, I am a bit of a poser as I have never actually used chalk, but I DO like when it is around And, the t-bar row is essential. With Crom behind the desk, I know there is some Led Zep. playing and some KISS! I'm sure there are some great gyms around here, I've just been too lazy to find them and too cheap to give up my 19 bucks a month. Crom, when you come up we have to eat at the Fitness Cafe. Great food, and we can dine as Rusty's image gazes down at us mere mortals.

I am with Rusty here, I wouldn't trade my home gym in garage for NOTHING!! Bencher does have a sweet set up though. I have trained at Metroflex some, along with Strouds (johnnie Jackson trains there) but man I love doing heavy @$$ deadlifts in 97 degree texas weather. Nothing like it.

I believe I live close to the Torture Chamber....I am inspired just knowing it is in the neighborhood. I'll be moving to Charlotte NC. next month and I am anxious to check out the gyms out there. When did they stop having the Charlotte Pro show?
Heading down to Tucson on Saturday to train with Crom and visit some of the old bodybuilding haunts....like maybe Mama's Pizza....can't wait!

Sadly, I drive down to Pure Fitness on Scottsdale and Shea.
Right now they have a before/after contest going on with their employees. Guys with the titles like "Director of Fitness" have their shirtless pics posted up on the wall. I swear out of 10 guys, not a one looks like he has ever picked up a weight.
I complain all the time, but I keep going. I need to get over it.

Yeah 120 is hot but there's also 0% humidity in AZ. Its 97 here with 40-50% humidity which makes it feel like 120. Either way I would take the sweat of the heat over the AC of a commercial gym any day. Still waiting to see those pics. I bought 2 new pieces 3 weeks ago and rearranged things so i will post some more pics soon. Get yours up Rusty.
