For those of you who don't know...
I have a Saturday a.m. Posing Instruction which is done in a group. Every week is a different, sometimes there is 2 people, sometimes there are 15 or more..depends on what shows are coming up. This is a very informal way to get your posing practice in with other people of differing weight classes/abilities at the same time. YOU ARE NOT BEING JUDGED, YOU ARE BEING TAUGHT TO POSE TO THE BEST OF YOUR PHYSIQUES ABILITY. I say this because most people are not used to posing when they're not in contest shape...neither is anyone else!!! This is usually a mix of people who are getting ready for different shows, come from different cities, some know each other and sometimes there are women and men bodybuilders posing together. There are people getting ready for their first show and others who have done several shows but are not doing as well as they'd like and need help to do better. I have people getting ready for novice natural shows standing next to people getting ready for National shows. Sound stressful?? Not at all, everyone helps each other and its very casual, I've never had anyone say they didn't have a great time!
We go through mandatories first. Everyone lines up and everyone learns not only from watching each other being corrected. There is NO audience, just competitors. I do ask that you don't bring friends because it tends to make others uncomfortable. When everyone is at the point where they are posing correctly, we go through a series of other poses so that you have an arsenal of other poses you can use for your routine and we work hard and pose nonstop so you get a hard workout and this makes you learn transitions and how to deal with the pressure. We work on combinations of poses and finally how to win a posedown. Where else can you actually PRACTICE THAT???!! The end of the session is videotaped, we go in and watch it and everyone learns from each other and that's the end. Those who need actual ROUTINES or contest diet/nutrition sessions are either done afterward or at another time. If you need weekly progress photos those can also be done by my wife, Francy. After your show if you want good outside posing photos, she does those as well, you can ask to see those when you are here.
If you have kids, call first and my daughter can babysit for a small fee...but call 1st!!! She may not be here otherwise.
Photos or videotaping of this is NOT ALLOWED as everyone has a right to privacy during this session. No photos or videotapes are released ANYWHERE and are only used for your training afterward and is then ERASED. I do not supply these to you. There are some people have used and it has caused problems so no more photos!!!!
If you want to purchase my Pose Like A Pro DVD, there is group posing at the end of the tape and was approved by the bodybuilders in the tape.
Finally, if you need to be trained for a show, please let me know and we can schedule daily, weekly or whatever you need. Email me at rustyjeffers@cox.net and we can set your appointment.
THANKS ALL!!!
