Crom, I can tell you are one step away from wearing nothing but animal hides, living in the wild and carrying the corpses of your enemies for your workouts. I love it. AAARRRRGGGHHHH !

I think natural bodybuilding/bodybuilders do thier own thing for different reasons, most know they aren't going to step on a stage next to "non-natural" bodybuilders and win. That's why most people go to IFBB shows and not INBF/WNBF shows. As Rusty said, natural bodybuilders look, well, big for being natural, but not freaky. There is a satisfaction to being natural if you can get past the whole "I want to be huge" or try and keep up with the Jones'. To sculpt a body naturally, while still keeping symetry and definition foremost in mind brings just as much satisfaction, if not more to the natural bodybuilder.
Look at guys like Skip LaCour and Ron Coleman(not ronnie although all Ronnie supposedly uses is dat dere Cell-Tech and chicken breasts tee hee) they aren't mass monsters, but they do look great in thier own right.
Natural bodybuilding, from what I've seen, read and experienced is a hard road, but as I've heard a million times, "if you can't get big without gear, you won't get big with it."
My $0.02..

Natural bodybuilding is great, but there is nothing healthy about the competition aspect of it. To get into superior condition for the posing dias natural or not is not for the weak minded or the sane! That's why we love it! I find it quite annoying when "natural" bodybuilders talk trash about the IFBB pros, yet have all the mags, posters, books etc... and can quote all the lines to Pumping Iron!

Natural guys huh??? Don't bet your house on that one. They test clean come show time, but catch them a week out from show and it is a different story. That is another problem with some of these "natural" shows, the time frame that they require you be clean can be very short, sometimes just long enough for stuff to clear your system. Test suspension, d-bols, slin, growth can all be used up to the week of show and still test clean.

While the NPC Natural shows are VERY suspect, the INBF/WNBF shows are a little harder to bypass seeing as how they require a polygraph AND a test to compete. Sure. neither are foolproof but if a person is really willing to use gear to beat others that are competing natural in such a rigorous tested environment, then well, they have to look at what a hollow victory it really is. Some people bodybuild and their number one competitor is another human, some of us are bodybuilding because our biggest competition is ourselves. YMMV.

If your on stage in a show you ARE competing against another human/humans. All that self introspection stuff is fine, but most bodybuilders who compete say that as well. Just curious, have you done any shows? I've done a number of them, and people want to win period. I have known people in the INBF/WNBF who have used drugs while preparing for shows. It happens, and it will continue to happen. Hollow victory or not.

Like anything, if it's a competition and there is a way to cheat, people will find a way and cheat. I have not personally competed in any INBF/WNBF shows, but I plan on competing in the near future. Am I going to worry about who's on what and if everyone around me is natural? No. I'm just going to bring my best game.
Of course everyone has thier own reasons for competing, I'm sure plenty of people are there to win and will do anything to make that happen.

I still love this conversation! Great posts! What drives me nuts are the people who choose to be natural but always say, "man, if I used gear I would be huge." I say...USE IT THEN AND GET HUGE! just kidding, but I really can't stand to look at the natural magazines or men's health and fitness.....oooog.
Most people overestimate the effect of the anabolicos.

I do!! I usually go home after training, shower, eat some protein and take a nap for a couple of hours, between the hard workout, the protein and a nap, I swear by it...when I started working nights, that was my routine and I gained 20 lbs. If you train at night after work, it shouldn't be hard, but if you train in the a.m. and have to GO to work...well.......

Hey there,it's great to see someone interested in natural bodybuilding! As someone who's committed to maintaining a healthy lifestyle and prioritizes aesthetics, I couldn't agree more with your perspective. When it comes to supplements and diet, I've found that the key is balance and quality. I've personally benefited a lot from incorporating supplements from worldhgh.best into my routine. Their products are top-notch, supporting muscle growth, recovery, and overall performance in a natural way. And you're absolutely right, aesthetics is about more than just bulking up with drugs. It's about sculpting your body in a sustainable and healthy manner. With the right combination of supplements, diet, and training, you can achieve impressive results while keeping your body and health in prime condition. Keep up the dedication to your goals, and remember, it's the journey that truly counts.
