My Email to Rusty - UN - EDITED !

This is the email i sent to Rusty the day after the 2008 Ironman Pro.
I have also recently learned that they kept Rusty onstage for at least 15mins in FREEZING conditions !! ( Rusty lost his pump !!)

FIRSTLY I've gotta say, i had to hold off commenting till today and have to put this in an email coz I'm not sure you'd want this on your site PLUS i was so pissed at the whole show,I'm not going to list all my complaints - too many of them and i don't wanna waste your time,but i felt really insulted that Bob couldn't even get your age correct 46 !! still - Great showing Rusty.......WHAT WE COULD SEE OF YOU !!!!!!! not slamming your performance AT ALL .. you were as usual FANTASTIC - but gotta say not sure if it was the lighting or the filming but you just couldn't see all the detail in your physique like the shots you posted a week out ! - LOVED the vacuum shot by the way ..real CLASS and by FAR the BEST POSER on stage,also I'm not sure if you took Bobs comment about you being "a throw-back from the 70's" as an insult or not not but to me that was a real compliment to you and 1 of the very few ! - and who the HELL was filming the show for us on the 'net' he clearly needs a lesson in photography! for instance ... in the 11 man line up he virtually went straight past you and focused on Phil Heath - don't get me wrong the i do admire the physiques of Phil and Troy and Phil looked fantastic,but i wanted to see MORE of you being compared to others - i could go on and on about the individual physiques but it would take HOURS, in writing anyway,lol,but what was so good about the guys that placed above you - EACH had FLAWS...big guts,no calves etc,etc,etc i think you get the picture - anyway i could not sit and watch anymore after the pre - judging - i was so frustrated,so I'm downloading the finals to watch as i write this but i do know you didn't even place in the top 10 !!! (and who the hell was the old grey haired guy with the HUGE belly ?? we saw him more than YOU !!)
You are IMO still the BEST no matter what and i enjoyed your showing yesterday,but feel so disappointed that you didn't get the opportunity you deserved to show your physique - i cannot begin imagine how you must feel - but know this ,i think i can speak for MOST here - we - your fans will always be behind and support you.

Dude, if I could have just been compared for the fun of showing the difference in ripped vs. complete, I would have been happy. But, all I can say is "next time"

Thats all us fans would ask - for you to be compared !! and speaking of being compared,i was showing Sheila your pix today on the Iron Age forum (ALL of them on your site as well) have only recently discovered this thread myself ! I asked her to guess your placing and she [glow=red,2,300]could not believe it[/glow]when i told her the results ,she had you a CLEAR 1st and she's not even a huge bodybuilding fan !!
so then i showed her all the comments people had left about your placing,she could not understand how the judges were 'allowed' to get away with such POOR decisions !

Karl, fret not. Rusty is is a true warrior of the iron game! He won't dwell on this show! he simply heads back to "The Torture Chamber", and plans his next diabolical plot for the next competition!

Besides, remember his motto; "Revenge is still my shepherd!"

No matter what, Rusty did what he set out to do. His conditioning and presentation are what make him a true champion. And he always will be.
