yeah its been a little quiet the last couple of days. I had a crazy leg workout yesterday, may have been a bit much for 6 weeks out but oh well. lunges absolutely killed 4 sets of 50 and the first two was with 95lb on my back. They sucked. paying the price for it today. guess its ok though only 4 more leg workouts left.

I have been a hardcore fan of bodybuilding since I was 15 (now 32). One of my biggest influences was my friend Jered, who in turn was influenced by Rusty. I lost touch with my friend about 10 years ago, but through this site I was able to contact him. I can't tell you how grateful I am for this site. Now I have my friend back, I'm back in the bodybuilding game, and I'm getting ready to hit the stage again in the future. Thanks Rusty. Nobody deserves pro status more than you. You have been a role model and inspiration to so many bodybuilder...from Tucson and beyond. You ARE bodybuilding!

Thanks Greg... When Greg gets on stage in 2008 look out!!! He will do some damage on any regional stage! This guy had 18 inch guns when he was a freakin' teenager! Not to mention classic lines on a 6 foot frame! Stay focused Greg and 2008 will be your best year yet...

Thanks for the kind words Crom, and thanks for the welcome Mbell. I weigh 215 right now - in my mind If I could be in contest shape at 195 or above next year, I think I will be happy. We'll have to see what the mirror says. At 6', I sure won't blow anyone's doors off, but I just want to feel good getting on the stage. I'm going to rely heavily on Crom's advices....I hope he doesn't give me the wrong advices : ) Mbell...very cool pre-contest pics you posted. How are your preparations coming along?

They are coming along very well thanks. Sitting at 208 right now. I am with bencher on dieting strategy, we are both using Dave Palumbos diet, No carbs except for one meal a week we get anything we want up to a certain point in time before the show. I really like the diet and its working great for me. I am also close to 6 ft, so I understand completely what you are talking about. If you have a decent set of legs and just come in crazy shredded you can compete with anyone in the novice division. I am 5 weeks out today.

Yorge this is my 2nd show, I did an INBF natural 2 years ago and got second, weighed in there at 174lb. This is my first NPC show, hoping to come in at 200, but maybe a couple of pounds lighter. I am very happy with that though (25 pounds of stage muscle in 2 years I will take).

That's great growth over just a couple of years. What sort of supplements are you taking, if any, now and off season. You mentioned a fat burner..what will you use? I have never seriously dieted for a show, and it makes me nervous as heck that I won't get it right when the time comes. I guess that's part of the fun. When I was competing as a teen, I was able to get by just with my metabolism, and my competition was never shredded. Maybe that's why I came in second all the time On a different note I just got back from visiting my sister. I weighed 4lbs less (with shoes on) on her scale today than I did without shoes on my scale last night. That sort of stuff makes me bananas! Even though they are different scales, different times of the day...its the mirror that counts etc. . . it still drives me nuts....just thought I'd share my annoyance! Train hard this week and stay disciplined.
